These new 33OZ-TBOL, also called The Breaker of Legs, uses long staple cotton woven from 100% Australian family grown cotton.
Famous for their immense quality, this denim is extremely durable and long lasting with the promise of truly awesome fades.
We have been using the rope dyeing technique which is believed to be the greatest dyeing method for yarns.
These components combined makes for a very rigid and robust denim with a uneven/slub texture.
SOSO’s 33OZ-TBOL weighs in at 33.14 oz, or 939g, is woven on vintage GA1515 shuttle looms, one of the first generation shuttle looms ever produced for the denim industry. These shuttle looms needed to be manually adjusted to handle the weight and rigidness, while generally you can just turn the machines on. Also in this special case, the weaver needs to overlook the meticulous process from beginning to the end. Due to the immense weight, it takes up to an entire week, to complete 1 pair of 33OZ-TBOL!

Firstly, let me start by saying these jeans are a work of art. Far and away the nicest pair I’ve ever owned, the build quality is amazing, not a stitch out of place.
Now for how these monsters feel:
This is the first pair of selvedge jeans I’ve owned, and the first pair thicker than mainstream brands at department stores. I got the Loose Clark in a 33 with 32″ inseam, at 180cm tall and 95kg, this is basically a perfect fit. It’s been 48 hours so far and they’re already starting to soften up and become more pliable, much faster than I had heard online. The custom fit is a godsend, but even so these take some patience to get on and off. Sitting is a little impaired at first, but I can almost sit normally now. Squatting down is a no-go, with the jeans stopping me about halfway to the bottom of a squat.
Despite the movement restrictions, these jeans are actually incredibly comfortable. I would recommend a healthy dose of tenacity and a reasonable pain tolerance if trying to get the jeans to form to your body as quickly as possible. Break in period aside, I’m looking forward to these jeans lasting me many years to come.
