SOSO Clothing was founded in 2010 by Jannis Hoff and Johan Holzkämper Blom, two passionate denim enthusiasts from Sweden. Since then, we’ve grown into a globally recognized denim brand, with all of our production based in the heart of Bangkok. SOSO was born from a shared dream: to become the world’s largest producer of affordable, custom-made, high-quality raw denim. In recent years, we’ve expanded our horizons into proprietary heavyweight denims, premium leather, and ultra-heavy flannel (UHF) shirts.
Our journey continued in 2017 when Fredrik Milton Schoultz became the newest member of the SOSO family. The following year, we established our head office in Umeå, Sweden—where you can still find us today. We’ve remained fiercely independent, with every decision about the brand and its direction staying within our tightly-knit denim family.
At SOSO, our promise is simple: we deliver a sophisticated “anti-fashion” concept at a fair price. We are worlds apart from fast fashion, focusing on garments with meticulous finishing and tailored fits, all while fully embracing denim and workwear heritage.

To make our mark in the denim world, we source limited edition and deadstock selvedge denim from around the globe. But our story doesn’t end there. We’re always on the lookout for unique textures and materials that uphold our high standards and commitment to putting quality over quantity. By combining exclusive fabrics with custom personal touches, we provide our clients with something truly one-of-a-kind—something they, and we, can be immensely proud of.

Our Denim Production
We proudly operate a small, dedicated factory just outside central Bangkok, Thailand, where our team of skilled artisans brings your denim dreams to life. Led by our manager, Taep, who boasts over 30 years of experience in the denim industry, we ensure that every pair of jeans meets the highest standards of craftsmanship. Taep personally oversees all production, lending his extensive expertise to every detail.
Carrying on the tradition, Taep’s son, Ferdinand, has recently joined the SOSO family as our head of operations. He ensures that all daily shipments from our factory run smoothly, bringing the next generation of passion and dedication to our work.
Today, we’ve entrusted the production of our leather shirts and jackets to one of Phuket’s finest tailors, Art. His craftsmanship reflects the same dedication to care and attention to detail that we uphold in every SOSO garment.
At SOSO Clothing, one of our core goals has always been to honor denim heritage and traditional tailoring. For us, this means rejecting mass production and automation, relying instead on the hands and keen eyes of our skilled craftspeople.
Our commitment to heritage tailoring goes to the extreme. Each garment is crafted using exclusively traditional machines, including renowned Japanese Jukis and American Singers, along with trusted brands like Kansai, Brother, Siruba, Marble, and even Toyota.
At the heart of it all is the Union Special—a legendary machine responsible for the iconic ‘rope’ look that true denim enthusiasts expect at the hem of their jeans. Without the Union Special’s signature lock stitch, denim simply isn’t denim.
While we remain far removed from fast fashion, that doesn’t mean you’ll be waiting forever for your custom garments. Our small operation delivers some of the fastest turnaround times for custom-made denim anywhere in the world, without sacrificing an “Oz” of quality.
