Sashiko denim uses a traditional Japanese technique with running stitches that strengthen fabric and create detailed patterns. This method started as a way to make garments tougher and repair them, especially in rugged workwear denim. Today, Sashiko stands out for its unique look.

Our 12oz Sashiko denim combines style and strength. Despite its 12oz label, the thick weaving gives it the feel of a 15oz fabric. Made from 100% top-quality cotton looms, the 12oz Navy Sashiko delivers both durability and style.

This versatile denim shines in both the 002 tapered classic style and the 003 classic chino style.

We recommend tonal stitching for all our Sashiko fabrics.

    I got my pair tailored as a chino with a slim fit – quite slim, but the effect is very crisp and the beautiful fabric is slightly elastic. It is as the picture shows, a luminous navy blue. Quite unusual, not very denim-like to me, hence the chino cut. Love it. Thick enough for the winter but I would not wear it in the summer.

    Nothing but praise for the fabric and craftsmanship. I got this made in chino style and the texture of the fabric really pops in the sunlight. This is a 12oz fabric but is rather thick because it’s loosely woven. My 6th order from Soso and definitely not my last!
