Our 17oz classic indigo denim is a versatile heavyweight option, great for beginners or seasoned denim fans. This selvedge fabric offers a perfect introduction to heavyweights. Expect stiff fabric at first, but with wear, it softens and delivers exceptional fades. Whether you’re choosing jeans or a top, this denim will impress.
Crafted from 100% Australian cotton, this fabric has natural heavyweight qualities and a deep indigo dye with a classic red selvedge ID.
Inspired by iconic Levi’s classics, our 17oz denim is a standout in our collection, recommended across all product categories.
Turn inside-out before washing. For denim and flannel, begin with a cold soak, then machine wash on a short cycle at 30°C (max 40°C / 100°F) with low or no spin. For waxed canvas, spot clean with cold water and a soft brush or cloth, never machine wash, dry clean, or use heat.
Hang or lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry! Re-wax canvas as needed to maintain water resistance.
Shrinkage & Stretch
This garment is not industrially pre-washed, so some shrinkage is expected. Washed per the guidelines, the waist and inseam may shrink by 1″, with other areas adjusting proportionally.
Post-wash or soak, the waist will stretch back approximately 1″ with wear. High-stress areas also tend to return to pre-wash dimensions over time.
They take time to arrive but if there is customs attached you can get a discount in the next order. The sizing is a little odd in that some denims shrink more than others. Recently I had to sell a pair that shrunk seriously but were the same size as a previous pair I wear regularly. But the denim is second to none. I have bought a lot of pairs over the years!
