Crafted from 100% Australian long-staple cotton and rope-dyed with pure indigo—transitioning from reactive dye—the yarns retain a deep surface color that gradually reveals lighter cores with wear, producing sharp, high-contrast fades over time.
This is one of the heaviest selvedge fabrics ever produced. Woven on vintage GA1515 shuttle looms, each run demands manual recalibration to accommodate the weight and tension. One pair takes nearly a week to complete, reflecting a level of craftsmanship few mills can match.
Known affectionately as “The Breaker of Legs,” these jeans are a rite of passage for denim aficionados. The pronounced slub texture and heavyweight fabric promise a unique fading journey, with each crease and whisker telling a story of dedication and wear.

WASHING & SHRINKAGE
We recommend washing this garment in 30°C / 86°F, with a low or no spin cycle. Hang dry. Do not tumble dry! For denim, an initial soak in a tub or large sink is fine. For waxed canvas, spot clean with cold water and a soft brush or cloth; never machine wash, dry clean, or use heat.
Shrinkage & Stretch
This garment is not pre-washed, so expect up to 1″ shrinkage in the waist and inseam. With wear, the waist and high-stress areas will stretch back about 1″
